"How much does Invisalign actually cost?" is the first question almost everyone asks — and at most clinics the honest answer is "it depends on your case."
We decided to make it simpler. Here's how Invisalign pricing usually works in Vancouver, what makes ours different, and how to find out if you're a candidate — from a dentist in Kitsilano.
How much does Invisalign cost in Vancouver?
At most clinics, Invisalign is priced by case, not by a flat rate — so a more complex smile means more aligners, more time, and a higher price. That's why quotes vary so much, and why it's often hard to know what you'll pay until after a paid workup.
At Smile Back Dental, we do it differently. Our current Invisalign promotional price is $4,295 for any case (with promo code STRAIGHTSMILE2026). One flat price — whether your case is simple or complex.

Smile Back Dental vs. the typical clinic
Typical clinic | Smile Back Dental | |
Pricing | By case — complex cases cost more | One flat promo price: $4,295, any case |
Knowing your cost | A quote after a paid workup | Clear from the start |
First step | Often a paid consult | Free video consult with Dr. Mota |
Surprises | Price can climb with complexity | The price is the price |
Why does Invisalign usually cost more for complex cases?
It helps to understand the norm, because it's what makes our flat price stand out. At most practices, three things push the price up:
How much your teeth need to move — more movement means more aligners.
How long treatment takes — longer plans cost more.
How complex your bite is — functional corrections are pricier than minor cosmetic straightening.
At Smile Back Dental, none of that changes your price. A straightforward case and a complex one are the same flat rate. You're not penalized for needing more work — which, if your case is complex, can be a real saving. The one thing this price does not inlcude is if you are not a patient at your clinic there will be a fee for a new patient exam, xrays necessary to review the case (these can be obtained from your current office as long as they are taken within the last 6 months), and photos. You can get that quote after the free consultation! Most of the time if you have dental benefits it will be covered partially if not 100% (depending on your benefits and limits).
Does CDCP cover Invisalign?
No. Orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign and traditional braces, is not currently covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan. The government has said a limited range of orthodontic coverage may be added at a future date, but it isn't available yet. So if you're a CDCP patient, plan for Invisalign as a separate cost. (For what CDCP does cover, see our CDCP guide.)
Does dental insurance cover Invisalign?
Sometimes, partially. Some private dental plans include an orthodontic benefit that can offset part of the cost — often a lifetime maximum rather than an annual one. Because our price is flat, it's easy to work out exactly what your benefit covers and what's left. Check your plan for "orthodontic coverage" and any lifetime limit, or bring your details to your consultation and we'll help you read them.
At our office Invisalign treatment is non-assignment. What does that mean? This means that we will submit all the paperwork for you to your dental plan however you will pay the office directly for the treatment provided. These days after submission you usually get your money into your account within 2 business days.
Is Invisalign right for me?
The flat price covers the treatment — but whether Invisalign is the right tool for your smile is a clinical question, and that's what the consultation is for. Clear aligners are removable, nearly invisible, and comfortable, and they suit a wide range of cases. Not every case is best treated with Invisalign, and an honest consult will tell you if braces would serve you better. The goal isn't to sell you Invisalign — it's to recommend what's right for your teeth, at a price you can see from the start.
