Dr. Mota immigrated to Canada when she was 16 with her parents and her identical twin sister. Coming from a medical family she knew that she would do something in the healthcare field. Dr. Mota spent about a year at the dental office when she first moved, fixing all her cavities and getting back to having a healthy mouth. The doctor that took care of her and her family made it the most comfortable, painless and safe experience. From that point on, Dr. Mota knew that she wanted to do the same things for others, and that's when the journey began.
Dr. Mota is a University of British Columbia graduate and finished both of her diplomas for Certified Dental Assisting and Registered Dental Hygienist at Vancouver Community College.

Dr. Diane Bird B.Sc. DMD
General Dentist
Diane was born in New Westminster, BC and raised in Steveston, BC. She received her dental degree from UBC in 1996, and has worked at her West Broadway office for her entire career.
It is important to her that patients are educated, understanding their oral health condition and treatment options.
Dr. Bird and her staff make it a priority to help patients feel at ease and comfortable in the office; you will hear music and hearty laughs during your visit. Diane believes dentistry can be fun and should be made as enjoyable as possible.
Personally, Diane enjoys music, travel, history, current events, cooking, and gardening. Her pup Penny is also a big part of her life.

After 30 years of dedicated service, Dr. Diane Bird retired at the end of 2024. Known for her gentle approach and expert care, she built lasting relationships with her patients and became a trusted figure in the community. Dr. Bird leaves behind a legacy of compassion and skill that will be remembered for years to come.
